Usher, Akon, Mary J, T-Pain, Snoop & J-Hud Come Together For Quincy Jones Album

Who could possibly get Usher, Akon, Ludacris, Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, Snoop Dogg, Jamie Foxx, Wyclef, Robin Thicke and T-Pain together on one album?  Superproducer Quincy Jones, that's who.  The music legend, who recently spearheaded the "We Are The World" remake, is putting together an all-star album called Q: Soul Bossa Nostra, which is coming out early in the summer, and those are just some of the folks he's lined up to perform on it.

Among the material covered by these and other folks on the record are Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T.," George Benson's "Give Me The Night" and the disco classic "Get The Funk Out Of My Face" by The Brothers Johnson.   There's also a hip-hop remake of Jones' 1962 composition "Soul Bossa Nova," best known these days as the Austin Powers theme.  It was also the song Ludacris sampled for his hit "Number One Spot."

In a statement, Akon said, "Quincy Jones is a musical legend and an incredible mentor. Just being around him and watching him work...has taught me how to develop as an artist and grow as a producer."
