Preview: Michael Buble Planning "Stand-Alone" Single For Next Release
Michael Buble's next single will be a song that isn't included on his current album Crazy Love. Michael tells the Indianapolis Star that after "Haven't Met You Yet" has run its course, he plans to put out a "stand-alone" single called "Hollywood," which he calls "a lot more edgy." Bob Rock, a producer noted for his work with acts like Metallica, produced the song, and Michael says, referring to his image as a romantic balladeer, "If people aren't stuck on who I am, it will be a huge hit."
As for why the song isn't on Crazy Love, Michael explains, "It did not match thematically or stylistically. My songs were all about love or relationships or heartbreak. This song is my tongue-in-cheek statement on the culture of celebrity. People will do anything for their 15 minutes." It's unclear how Michael plans to release the song, whether or iTunes or his website. Stay tuned.
