New Music Tuesday - August 24th
Little Big Town, The Reason Why: Foursome Little Big Town's soaring harmonies are in tact for The Reason Why, their first album of new music since 2007's A Place to Land. Their current chart-climbing single "Little White Church" is one of the 12 tracks featured. Check out the video here.
Various Artists, My Country - Smash Hits: Country artists are known to be big supporters of those folks who serve us in uniform and with My Country - Smash Hits, they continue that supportive nature. Hit makers like Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley and Keith Urban are just a few of the 14 artists who contribute to the project. Sales from the album benefit the Fisher House Foundation which helps military families.
Marty Stuart, Ghost Train (The Studio B Sessions): Things come full circle for Marty Stuart on his latest album Ghost Train (The Studio B Sessions). The project was recorded in famed RCA Studio B located on Music Row, the very same place where Marty began his recording career at the young age of 13 as part of Lester Flatt's band. Haunting ballads and the sounds of honky tonk music make up this traditional country project that also includes guest spots by wife Connie Smith and the late Johnny Cash among others.
Ricky Skaggs, Mosaic: Ricky Skaggs undertakes a new direction in his career as he travels away from bluegrass and acoustic music to explore country-pop sounds with Mosaic. Guests include rocker Peter Frampton on this 14 track disc that features songs of inspiration.
Randy Rogers Band, Burning the Day: Texas stalwarts and road warriors Randy Rogers Band release Burning the Day, the group's third major label project. Fans can expect 11 country-rock flavored tracks including the single "Too Late For Goodbye."
