Video: Facebook's New Mail System

You may be spending even more time with Facebook in the near future, as CEO Mark Zuckerberg announces an innovative new messaging product - he says it's not email.

Calling the service a "modern messaging system," Zuckerberg says it will not compete with but complement email clients like Google's Gmail or Yahoo Mail. The system will gather all your real-time conversations in chat, email, text, etc and put them all in one place with the ability to filter.

Fun Fact: 500 million users send 4 billion messages a day on Facebook's current messaging system

The new product offers it's users @facebook.com email addresses and a way to seemlessly communicate across a variety of platforms and channels, with a single conversation history. Instead of having a shoebox full of old letters, you could store the communication of your life on Facebook.

Cick here for Facebook: Milestones and Memories

Select users will start to see the new system as it rolls out in the coming months. Want to find out more? This video breaks it all down.
