Part Time Promotions Tech

Citadel Broadcasting is seeking enthusiastic, Looking for outgoing, energetic, fresh new faces to join our part-time Promotions Team. Team members will be responsible for promoting the image of the stations at various New Orleans events and appearances. Candidates should enjoy promotional events and activities, and feel comfortable interacting with the public. This is not an office job! Duties include transporting, setting up and tearing down equipment. Will interact with the public by meeting and greeting listeners and conducting giveaways. Must be at least 18 years old, responsible and dependable, with flexible schedules - required to work weekends and evenings as necessary. Must be able to lift 30 pounds without exertion. Requires valid driver's license, excellent driving record.

Internship Opportunities 

 

Citadel Broadcasting New Orleans is currently looking for college students to become spring and summer interns in Promotions, Sales, Broadcasting, Programming, Production and more. The position is unpaid, but the experience is valuable. Interns will help out with office work in the departments. At the same time, the intern will be learning about the basic structure of a radio station and how all the departments interact.  It's a good way to get first hand experience, make contacts and learn of other opportunities at Citadel Broadcasting.

 

Requirements:
Interns must be enrolled in an accredited local college or university, for the specific purpose of gaining college credits toward a degree. Because the position is unpaid, interns must be receiving college credit for their time spent in this internship program. Business and Mass Communication majors such as Public Relations, Advertising and Broadcasting will benefit more from this internship, but all majors are welcomed to apply. Interns must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.

 

Responsibilities:
Interns are to help out with various office work within the department. Duties may range from live events, filing, distributing forms, writing promos, and arranging supplies for events or remotes. Hours may range from 6am-6pm and will include weekends.
