Country superstar George Strait didn't make his way to Nashville stardom straight from Texas, he made a pit stop in Hawaii first where he was stationed as part of the Army during the 1970s. There he played with an Army-sponsored band named Rambling Country. Six years after he was honorably discharged, George has his first of many Top 10 hits to come with "Unwound."
