Kris Kristofferson

Singer-songwriter Kris Kristofferson was party of a military family growing up and moved many times during his childhood due to his father's chosen profession. After earning a Rhodes Scholarship and graduating from the University of Oxford, Kristofferson joined the U.S. Army where eventually became a helicopter pilot and served as part of the 8th Infantry Division in West Germany.
