BEHIND THE SONG: "Keep On Lovin' You"

Selecting the perfect debut single is a challenging process since it’s an artist’s introduction to country fans who are eager to hear new music. For, new duo Steel Magnolia, it was a no-brainer when they first heard “Keep On Lovin’ You” prior to securing their record deal.

Steel Magnolia’s Meghan Linsey explains, “We were down to the final two on the show – on CMT’s Can You Duet? – and they brought us a group of songs and as soon as we heard it, it was like a gut feeling. It just felt right.” Duo partner Joshua Scott Jones agrees, “It was like an old pair of boots.”

That gut feeling didn’t steer them wrong as the single peaked in the Top 5 on the country charts. And, it definitely served as a great introduction to audiences for a promising, emerging duo as did its music video. Next on the plate for Steel Magnolia is the release of the follow-up single “Just By Being You (Halo and Wings)” and the pair is set to continue their run on the road as a part of Brad Paisley’s H20 Tour.
