Artist to Watch: Jaron and the Long Road to Love

In March of 2009, Jaron Lowenstein found himself at a crossroads. After a six year break, which was only suppose to be one, Jaron was drawn to create music once again after he wrote a song in order to brighten his spirits. But prior to his extended break, Jaron was one-half of a duo Evan and Jaron with his identical twin brother Evan and his partner wasn't ready to get back into the game as he was content with spending quality time with his family. Ironically, it was Evan who encouraged his brother to set his sights on college and playing baseball aside so that the pair could pursue music.

The Lowenstein brothers, who grew up in Tucker, Georgia, first hit it big 10 years ago with the release of their self-titled project for Columbia Records. The album contained the duo's Top 10 hit "Crazy For This Girl," in addition to two more Top 40 hits "From My Head to My Heart" and "The Distance," both of which appeared in the films Runaway Bride and Serendipity respectively. When Evan decided that it was time for a sabbatical from the music, the Lowenstein brothers tried their hands as producers and screenwriters in Hollywood.

It was then when Jaron found himself with a decision to make. And with a revitalized passion for music, he got to work writing the songs that he felt were important and vowed to craft them with honesty and candidness even when addressing his own shortcomings. Instead of taking the typical route to get his music to the public, Jaron took it straight to the fans through the avenues that existed on the internet where they singled out his current single "Pray For You."

In February of this year, Jaron teamed up with Big Machine Records and Universal Republic to aid his efforts and soon the song was burning up the airwaves as it scaled and continues to climbs the country singles charts with its humorous music video co-starring actress Jamie Pressly added fuel to the fire. On Tuesday, June 22nd, Jaron and the Long Road to Love will release his debut country album Getting Dressed in the Dark, a collection of songs that depict Jaron's journey of the ups and downs of love.
