Album Preview: Hey Monday Beneath It All

Pop band Hey Monday are gaining a quick reputation as a hot artist to watch due to the powerful vocals of their lead singer Cassadee Pope.  Currently on the road with the Vans Warped Tour, Hey Monday recently announced that their second album Beneath It All will be released on August 17 and gave fans a sneak peak at the first single from the album titled “Wish You Were Here.”

A follow-up to their debut album Hold On Tight, which put Hey Monday on the map with their hit singles “How You Love Me Now” and “Homecoming,” the new tracks still revert to the sound they achieved on their first album but sounds a bit more current and exciting.  "Wish You Were Here," which was posted on the Vans Warped Tour website several weeks ago, is already gaining buzz and will be the first single from the highly anticipated album.

If getting one track from the album wasn’t enough, Hey Monday also offered their fans a challenge: If the band received over 200,000 fans on Facebook, they would release another song.  They reached their goal this week, so Hey Monday posted the new song “Hangover.”  This track also is a very radio-friendly pop track on par with the rest of their songs, if not better.  If these two songs are any preview to what the album will be like, then it is sure to keep fans happy and take this band to the next level.

Both tracks “Wish You Were Here” and “Hangover” can be streamed on Hey Monday’s website at http://www.heymondaymusic.com/.
