It Gets Better

Lance Bass Used to Tease Gay Teens, Too
In a Monday night, October 4th, segment centering on a rash of headline-making teen suicides, CNN's Larry King spoke with some openly gay celebrities, including former 'N SYNC member Lance Bass. The singer, who came out in 2006, reveals he bullied other gay students when he was younger: "When you're 13, 14, you just go along with what the other people are doing," Bass says. "You just want to fit in. You want to make sure that your friends like you. So yeah, you're going to crack jokes, you're going to laugh along with it. And when you're a teenager, you're not really thinking, 'Oh, I'm being a bully by laughing along with it.'"
Other guests who appeared on the Larry King Live segment included Project Runway host Tim Gunn, comedienne Wanda Sykes and Kathy Griffin.
