Two New Songs from Smashing Pumpkins Find Their Way Online

The Smashing Pumpkins have released not one, but two brand-new songs for you to check out online.  The first is called "The Fellowship."  While it will appear at their official website as part of their Teargarden by Kaleidyscope project for download, it first popped up on the soundtrack for the TV show The Vampire Diaries, which is in stores on October 12th.  It can be heard at ConsequenceOfSound.net.

The second song is one that frontman Billy Corgan premiered live for the first time at a bookstore in France on September 30th, called "Jesus Needs a Hit."  Corgan was at the bookstore promoting a book he co-wrote with author Claire Fercak.  Video of the performance can be seen at RockerParis.Blogspot.com.

Listen to the songs below. Warning, Corgan uses profanity in the "Jesus Needs a Hit" clip.
