James Cameron and Arnold Schwarzenegger Star in Political Ad
On the same day he announced plans for two Avatar sequels, James Cameron on Wednesday released a political ad featuring himself and the star of his Terminator films, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. It asks California voters to reject the state's Proposition 23, which would repeal the state's global warming law. Cameron says the passing of the proposition would be akin to "terminating our air pollution standards."
Schwarzenegger appears towards the end of the video, holding a robotic Terminator hand and asking Cameron, "Why do you keep calling me a cyborg?" When an off-camera voice calls Schwarzenegger "Governor Cyborg," Schwarzenegger and Cameron laugh.
