Rolling Stone Shows Photos of Exhibits from Nirvana Retrospective in Seattle

A massive one-year Nirvana retrospective will be opening at the Experience Music Project in Seattle on April 16th of next year.  If you want a preview, Rolling Stone has published photos of some of the exhibits that will be featured, including guitars that were played -- and smashed -- by Kurt Cobain.  There are also flyers promoting Nirvana's earliest shows, lyrics written by Cobain, clothes worn by band members, plus photos, home videos, recordings and more.  In all, over 200 artifacts will be on display.

The EMP's curator, Jacob McMurray told the magazine that he wanted to show "that epic myth-making side of Nirvana," as well as an "intimate story about this band of guys that just wanted to rock who had really no aspirations that it would go anywhere."  More information about the retrospective can be found at EMPSFM.org.
