The Decemberists Announce New Album, Release New Song

A new album from The Decemberists called The King Is Dead will be in stores on January 18th.  A new song, "Down by the Water," is already available for you to download for free from their official website. 

 The new album follows up their 2009 album, The Hazards of Love, and features guitar work from R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck.  The band have already played a few brand-new songs live this past summer.  The performances were captured on video and can be seen at Pitchfork.
