Damon Albarn Wants to Release New Gorillaz Album Before Christmas

Damon Albarn is setting high expectations for himself -- he wants to release a new Gorillaz album before the end of 2010.  In an interview with NME magazine, Albarn says he's been recording a new record on the road which he's "going to try and put out before Christmas." Albarn adds, "It's a studio album made in hotel rooms across America."  He says the entire album is being "made on an iPad," telling the interviewer, "I hope I'll be making the first record on an iPad. Which is ironic, being the sort of technophobe and Luddite that I am."  A transcript of the full interview can be seen at Gorillaz-News.Livejournal.com.

Gorillaz are currently touring in Europe and have a new single, "Doncamatic (All Played Out)," coming out on November 22nd.
