Poison/Motley Crue Tour Is a No-Go, Says Crue

Poison singer Bret Michaels needs to work on his powers of persuasion. The rocker and reality star committed a verbal gaffe in Windsor, Ontario last weekend, announcing that Poison, who are celebrating their 25th anniversary next year, would tour alongside Motley Crue, who will enjoy their 30th anniversary. This proclamation was news to the Crue, who promptly issued denials and accused Michaels of trying to “will” the tour to happen through media manipulation.

Crue drummer Tommy Lee Tweeted “NO!” to a fan who inquired about the accuracy of Michaels’ declaration, while the band’s manager, Eric Sherman, told People that fans can vote for what bands they would like to see tour with Motley Crue via the band’s website and that “Motley will listen to the fans, not to guys trying to book a tour through the media.”

Michaels in turn told People that the idea was “simply a pipe dream” and that you can’t blame a guy for trying to nudge a tour that would delight ‘80s glam rock fans.
