Pavement Appearing on Ace of Cakes

When you think of cake, you're probably not thinking of indie-rock bands.  That'll change when Pavement appear on a future episode of the TLC show Ace of Cakes.  Pitchfork reports that the reunited band and the rock and roll bakers from Baltimore, Maryland's Charm City Cakes, where the show is based, will get together for something special.  But this collaboration wasn't made from scratch.

This past summer, the Ace of Cakes crew was in New York City to watch Pavement's shows in Central Park and made the band a personalized cake.  Pavement's episode hasn't yet been scheduled for air.
