Taylor Swift: Speak Now Airs Thanksgiving Night on NBC

Taylor Swift's Thanksgiving Day special, Taylor Swift: Speak Now, premieres on NBC Thursday night, November 25th, at 8:00 ET. The hour-long program, which was filmed primarily in New York and Los Angeles, gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at how Taylor made her latest platinum album, Speak Now. She also takes fans on the cross-country trip she made during the album's release week.

Says Taylor, "It's a crazy process. It's chaos, but we got it all on film." You can look for Taylor to perform a few songs on her NBC special as well, including "Mine," "Back to December" and "Sparks Fly."  Says Taylor, "Having a Thanksgiving special and getting to be a part of people's lives on such an important holiday -- it's wonderful. I'm really excited about it."

Thanksgiving is actually one of Taylor's favorite holidays because it's all about comfort. "There's always this sound of football from another room. You know, the low football game," Taylor says, "There's cooking going on." Taylor and her family usually spend Turkey Day in St. Louis. She explains, "I have a big family there, and most of them are women. We all crowd in the kitchen and make things and tell stories and laugh."

This Thanksgiving, Taylor is very thankful her fans have embraced her new album, Speak Now, in such a big way. "It came out and they appreciated it for what it is," she says.  "That's something to be really thankful for, other than general happiness."
