New Music Tuesday - September 14th

Jamey Johnson, The Guitar Song: After releasing 2008's That Lonesome Song and having a smash hit with "In Color," critically acclaimed singer-songwriter Jamey Johnson offers his most ambitious project yet. With The Guitar Song, Jamey takes listeners on a 25-song journey through the darkness ("Black Album") and the light ("White Album"). Original compositions make up the majority of The Guitar Song, but Johnson takes the time to pay homage to a few legends as he includes his own versions of Kris Kristofferson's "For the Good Times," Vern Gosdin's "Set 'Em Up Joe," Mel Tillis' "Mental Revenge" and a Keith Whitley gem titled "Lonely At the Top." James Otto, Shake What God Gave Ya: Country fans have been grooving to James Otto's feel-good hit "Groovy Little Summer Song" all summer long. Now, the country soul singer unleashes his sophomore album Shake What God Gave Ya featuring that tune along with his current single "Soldiers & Jesus." Otto helped pen 11 of the 12 tracks on the project including the R&B; infused "Good Thing's Gone Bad" which unites him with one of his musical heroes Ronnie Milsap.

Joey + Rory, Album Number Two: Husband and wife duo Joey + Rory continue along their path of producing traditional country music with their sophomore album the appropriately titled Album Number Two. The title track showcases their tongue-in-cheek humor while songs like "That's Important To Me" and "Where Jesus Is" tackle more serious subjects. Meanwhile, the duo's current single "This Song's For You," which features the Zac Brown Band, salutes the working man.
