Trapt's New Album, No Apologies, Tries to "Keep It Simple"

Trapt's new album, No Apologies, is in stores today and, according to drummer Aaron Montgomery, the band tried to "keep it simple" when it came to the music. Their previous album, 2008's Only Through the Pain, which debuted at number 18 on the Billboard album charts, wasn't heavily praised by critics or fans. While Montgomery says that they liked the album, they felt that on No Apologies, they needed to "get back to what we do best and that's just trying to make good rock songs."
Guitarist Robb Torres felt that Only Through the Pain "was a bit of a departure from the band's sound" in regards to the heavy rock element. He adds that fans can get ready for No Apologies to "definitely [go] back to those hard rock roots."
Trapt is currently a part of the Monsters of Annihilation tour with Papa Roach and Skillet. Their next show is tonight in Rochester, New York. All their upcoming tour dates can be found at their official website.
