Conway Twitty

Before Conway Twitty became "the best friend a (country) song ever had," as he often was called, Conway sang rock and roll music.  But, his heart and soul was country and Conway made the switch in 1965 and never looked back.  Female country fans swooned at Conway's sex appeal and suggestive lyrics up until his death in 1993.
