Unlike her contemparary Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette most often addressed the plight of lonliness and heartache through her songs. Tammy's most famous song is "Stand By Your Man," which she co-wrote with her producer Billy Sherill, but she also co-wrote the powerful - and often covered - "'Til I Can Make It On My Own."
