Bono
The legendary leader of Irish rock band U2 is synonymous with rock n' roll philanthropy. He is active with myriad causes, including combating the spread of AIDS and poverty in Africa, and was part of the creation of the ONE campaign, which works to increase governmental funding to international aid programs. He has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize three times, in 2003, 2005 and 2006.
