Elton John

The brilliant piano-playing pop star created the Elton John AIDS Foundation in 1992 as a way to raise money for HIV/AIDS prevention. Since the deaths of friends Ryan White and Queen singer Freddy Mercury, John has been tireless in his fight to combat the disease, holding galas and charity auctions which have raked in millions.
