Crystal Gayle

While Loretta Lynn used her actual name for her country career, her younger sister Brenda Gayle Webb did not. When she signed her record deal, she changed her name since another Brenda was already very successful in music - Little Miss Dynamite herself Brenda Lee. At Loretta's suggestion, Webb took on moniker of Crystal Gayle and earned a reputation for making solid country crossover hits with songs like "Don't It Make My Brown Eyes Blue."
