During his career, the charismatic Faron Young earned the monikers of "The Hillbilly Heartthrob" and "The Singing Sheriff." He had his first hit in 1952 with "Goin' Steady," but his career in music was interrupted when he was drafted into the U.S. Army for two years. After his discharge, he didn't miss a beat and skyrocketed to fame with such hits as "Hello Walls."
