While Matthews just announced that his band would take 2011 off, it's likely his giving nature won't take a break. Matthews and his band have raised money for victims of Hurricane Katrina and the Virginia Tech shooting, while DMB also runs the Bama Works Fund, which serves to raise money for charitable programs around the Charlottesville, Virginia area.
