Eddie Vedder

Before hitting the big time with Pearl Jam, Eddie Vedder was languishing in the Southern California music scene. He served as the vocalist for a handful of bands, including Bad Radio, Surf and Destroy and The Butts, but was never successful enough with those acts that he could ditch his part-time shift as a gas station night attendant.
