Garfield
Jon Arbuckle and his dog Odie are major factors in the life of lazy cat Garfield and are featured predominantly in the comic strip which first appeared in 1978. The fat cat, voiced by Bill Murray, hit the big screen in 2004's Garfield: The Movie and despite the negative reviews by critics, it was followed by a sequel Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties in 2006.
The Incredible Hulk
Eric Bana stars as scientist Bruce Banner who gets a little too cozy with some gamma radiation in the lab and becomes the Hulk when he gets angry. In 2008, a second film featuring the character was released. The Marvel Comics' series kicked off with 1968's The Incredible Hulk #1.
Dennis the Menace
"Hey, Mr. Wilson!" Dennis the Menace has been a thorn in his neighbor Mr. Wilson's side since 1951 and his antics were brought to movie theaters in the 1993 film starring Walter Matthau. The character continues to live on in a daily syndicated newspaper comic strip.
